The way Mike talks about Red Lobster, you'd think that tiny cherubs come floating from the ceiling to personally deliver you seafood dishes. Last weekend I received no fewer than seven text messages detailing his cravings for the biscuits and shrimp. I relayed this information to Emily, but got absolutely no sympathy. Her response was, "I used to feel that way. Then John made me go. And it was one of the top ten best meals I've ever had".
Clearly, I had to try The Lobster. We went last night, even agreeing to skip the new episode of The Office because of time constraints. Official decision?
If someone told me that I had to live off of Red Lobster biscuits and caesar salads for the rest of my life, I would weep with excitement. Seriously, the biscuits melt in your mouth and then there's this crazy pop of flavor that comes in at the last second... okay, describing it is making me sound like a freak but TRUST. Carb-loading has never been so delicious.
So delicious in fact, that Mike half wrestled our server when he preemtively took away the basket hiding the final biscuit. So delicious that I may have have placed three of them in a napkin and hid them in my purse on the way out. Judge me all you want, bitches. We brought them home out of a selfless love for Joel who had a crappy day in the lab. He was grateful, and I got to experience my future as a cheap grandma living off food stamps. I think we can all agree that it was a win win (win).

The fact that I was able to enjoy The Lobster by proxy made my entire day. Or was it the pitcher of Miller Lite I drank?
